Hauntsville 2008

 

Its October and time for our annual vist to the little, forgotten town of Hauntsville, USA.

This fall there have ben strange happenings behind Moggins Bluff.. Why just a few days ago

the area was quite lush with summer greens.

and then. like magic, all the leaves fell, the plants turned brown and folks were afraid to set foot on the bridge.

Someone even put up a "No Trespassing" sign and seems to be intent on enforcing to restrictions

Little Johnny Hopkins waded across Toil and Trouble Creek to try and get a peek into the valley.

He has reported that an old schooner has crashed onto the rocks. No one believes him however. Afterall, how could a sailing ship get into the lake??

Unknown to the citizens of Hauntsville, Witch Tabatha is brewing up her own kettle of magic to bring back thelivig dead in Rest Haven Cemetery.

While Tabatha works on her brews, it seems the rest of the coven is also busy.

Hecate has whipped up a concoction made from Bat wings and Dragon brains that she absolutely

guarantees will allow the user to fly without a broom. It will be for sale at the local Witch's Pub

after sunset.

Meanwhile, Mohana and Mab are leading some friends in a pre-solstice dance at old Stonehenge.

If one looks carefully youwill be able to se Medea instructing her young charges in the skills of flight.

Several of her charges seem to have mastered the art and are heading off toward Hauntsville to frighten the residents.

The hot rumor among the witches is that the great warlock Mordroc will be speaking at the

pub this evening. It is said he plans to speak about enchantments. Samantha says she won't be going. She remembers all too well how last year she was turned into a toad during the lecture by Merlin.
