Depending on the individual's occupation the "setting" may be free standing and not necessarily a building. This cart served a commoner as their workpiece. The entire cart is made from wood. The wheels are made of several boards fastened together with cross pieces and then cut with a coping saw. This attention to detail helps make the cart look authenic. Note also the wooden washers and pins to hold the wheel in place. The entire project was stained with dark brown wood stain. The cart is durable enough to carry two people. The downside of the cart is the use of little wooden pins, set in predrilled holes long the edge to create sides. These should have been made of a stronger material as most of them broke off before the faire began.
